I love it when companies go the extra mile to meet and exceed expectations.

For instance, I asked Chad Madden, the physical therapist marketing guru, for some feedback about a webinar we did together. I was expecting a simple email response, but, no. Chad recorded a detailed 5-minute video, uploaded it to his Wistia account, and shared it with me.

Whoa, right?

CustomInk’s service is right up there with Chad’s. I know several screen printing and embroidery companies right here in the Boise area, but I still ended up going with CustomInk. Why?

Really, it was dead-simple to design and order my shirts online… fun, actually. And when I did have a question or two, their online chat was available to answer them with additional helpful tips. They guided me through the ordering process, and before I knew it, I had placed the order.

When our ReviewJump shirts arrived, they were two days early. Bonus! Notice how instead of a brown cardboard box, theirs is branded just like their website:

What I thought was also cool is that it was shipped via OnTrac, the affordable parcel company that specializes in quick delivery options. It’s a smaller company when compared to UPS and FedEx, so it’s nice to see CustomInk helping the “little guy.”

When I opened the box of newly printed ReviewJump t-shirts, I was greeted with the following message:

In case you don’t have a magnifying glass to read the note, here’s what it says:

“We hope you really love these! Since we can’t predict the weather (or the mail), we packaged your order in this protective bag. But if there’s anything wrong, just call us at 1-855-582-4840, and we’ll make it right. It’s okay to be picky… we are too. Enjoy!”

I like the personality they put in the note. Actually, they have personality across their entire brand and the whole customer experience.

Complaints about CustomInk?

Scraping the bottom of the barrel here, months ago I placed an order for t-shirts with CustomInk that was never fulfilled. It turns out I was required to confirm the purchase via email or something out of the ordinary, I can’t quite remember. I just recall not being able to get our company t-shirts in time and cancelling the order as a result. A little more proactiveness, if there is such a word, on their part would have saved the order.

Otherwise, I was happy with the customer service, price, free shipping, early arrival time, packaging, and of course, the t-shirts!
